Project overview
The Electron 86.4MW photovoltaic power station in Utah is designed with a double Tracker system and is equipped with 24 3600KVA box transformers. In January, 2025, it was found that seven transformers had oil leakage in high-voltage bushings. It was confirmed through research that the process defects of high-voltage bushing grounding piece led to stress concentration cracking.
Technical measures
1. Process improvement: Remove the original stainless steel stamping grounding plate. Add 4 mm flexible copper yellow-green grounding wire.
2. Bushing replacement: replace the whole set of 6 bushings of 7 cracked bushing transformers.
3. Verification test: DC resistance deviation ≤0.8% Insulation resistance ≥5000MΩ The ratio change error is controlled within 0.25% Implementation effect The construction period was reduced to 27 days (originally planned 42 days). The leakage rate decreased from 29% to 0.2%.
